Because it was so much fun a last year…
January: Spending New Years in the Golan, hiking Masada, and staying in this most amazing of places in the Negev desert (home of the HBDP) — all during Jenelle’s visit.
Here’s a round-up of a few of my favorites.
On the wall around Graceland, during my birthday trip there in 2011 with Jonathan, Alissa, and Kate. (After this picture was taken, I can clearly remember Kate saying, “Was the hand thing really necessary?” Yes. Always.)
On the grass near the port in Galway, on one bright, sunny Irish morning. (So green.)
During the Post Wedding Week of Awesome, Gavin and Berit organized a diving and snorkeling trip for everyone, my first-ever.
I was worried about getting seasick (saints be praised: I didn’t) — though looking at it now, the ocean looks smoother than it felt at the time.
On the drive to the Waitomo Caves in New Zealand, Jon and I made a few stops for photos along the way. We were listening to the Hunger Games soundtrack at the time and I snapped this picture just as Adam Levine and Rozzi Crane sang “Come away little lamb come away to the slaughter…”
Jon felt a tad sheepish about that (COME ON I HAD TO!).
After a two-day layover in Seoul, South Korea, Jonathan and I arrived in Auckland, New Zealand!! Berit and Gavin met up with us at the airport and made sure we got a phone, a good lunch, and food for the road.
We were soon off because we had a big destination to get to…HOBBITON.
